Way to target party member with Afro?

Hi guys! I was wondering if there was a way to hotkey "target the party member who has aggro." I feel that would be super helpful as a healer with 2 tanks that switch aggro a lot. Thank you for the help ^{^}

Edit: it was meant to be aggro not Afro xD stupid phone haha

Edit 2: after getting home and trying out all your suggestions the "target the target of your current target" was exactly what I was looking for! Completely life changing xD thank you everyone <3

I just hope someone pitches that to the dev team, and they really make a /targetafro command that does just that for the lols.

There is a hot key to swap between target of target. If you are targeting the boss, can hit that hot key to tab to the tank currently holding aggro, then again to go back to boss as long as the tank is still targeting them

IIRC the command is called Assist Target if you're looking for it to bind to either keyboard or controller

I've got mine mapped to T. Think it might be the default.

As a healer, normally I swap focus to tanks via my function keys; F1's always me, F2 is first tank, F3 is second tank (in a sorted party list). But sometimes I'll just T > do whatever > T to go back to the boss.

And T's high utility when somebody random gets aggro and needs help. Beats trying to click them with the mouse while they're spazzing out.

Upvoted for the amusing typo. But to answer your question, I personally just have the boss targeted and then use the "Select Target's Target" (which I think is unbound by default) to target whoever they have aggro on.

I think it's bound to T by default on pc but I may have set that because other games had it. It's great for healing too because it basically acts as a toggle to swap between boss and MT

The title saying "target party member with Afro" is amusing me way more than it should.

Macros aren't optimal because of how they queue abilities, but you can use <tt> in a macro to target whoever your target is targeting. I use that on AST with Synastry, but because of how macros work, sometimes it's a bit inconsistent in whether or not it goes off.

I only have a few macros. They're usually involving abilities that require targets, but the target person would always be the same(dragon sight, intervention, shirk, etc. etc.)

Personally I when I tank I like to use the macros to target main tank 'cause it's usually generous enough windows for oGCDs to go off even with macro wonkyness (Synastry there is an oGCD that usually your timing doesn't need to be hyper urgent so might be okay)

Totally agree with how macros on GCD abilities kinda sucks

By default it's actually T. It lets you get target of target, so usually if you have the boss targeted it will go to whoever has aggro.

You could simply set target party 1 & 2 key bind. Tanks are always 1or 2 I use R,F,C,X & Shift + R,F,C,X for targeting party members. You can also set CTR + mouse wheel to scroll through party members.
